2015

It's a useful process to look at images I've made each year, at the end of the year. At the time, I just shoot and process, but don't pay much attention to overall trends and themes in my work unless I need to do so for a specific reason. In compiling my 10 favouries for this past year, I noticed that in 2015 I made a lot of square images...I really like using that format...and most of my faves that I made this year are square. My interest in images that are graphic in design strongly continues, and also my love of photographs that are soft and impressionistic. I seem to like to make both of these polar opposite types of images. Although I love bright, bold colour, and made a lot of colourful photographs this year, with one or two exceptions, my current favourites are either monochrome or display very subtle colour.
