ABOUT

After becoming a registered nurse, earning my B.A. in sociology and raising my family, I decided, at age 41 to switch gears and try doing something creative. With no formal background or experience, I attended various workshops in different mediums before falling in love with stone sculpture, photography and, most recently, painting.

I make art in these mediums in a similar way; it's all about the process, not the final product that keeps me coming back. My approach is experimental and playful, I rarely plan the outcome, preferring to allow the work to evolve as I go. If I'm happy with the results, that's the bonus. The real reward, for me, comes from the joy and fun of expressing myself visually and enjoying the process of making the work.

My husband and I divide our time between our homes in Maple Ontario, which is just outside of Toronto, our summer cottage in Muskoka.
