theme 6 week 1 INTENTIONAL CAMERA MOVEMENT

The topic for the next 4 weeks is intentional camera movement. Instead of stabilizing the camera on a tripod or holding it steady to avoid camera shake, the camera is deliberately moved during a relatively long exposure. This can result in impressionistic, painterly, expressive images. I moved the camera very slightly when I photgraphed this country road. The motion softened and blended the colours of the spring blossoms, dirt road and new foliage. To see Simone's image, please click here.
