I made this image inside the boathouse at my cottage. It was fairly dark inside, and the water in the boat slip was dark as well. However light from the window was shining on a blue tarp, and that, as well as trees outside the window, were reflected in the water. I used a slow shutter speed to soften the movement of the water and underexposed so that the reflection wold not be blown out and would be strongly contrasted against the black water.
