This image was fun to shoot, and I like it a lot, so I included it in this year's favourites. Also, there's something about making photographs of very ordinary things that I really enjoy. Initially I tried to move the cheerios around in the milk to get a configuration that I liked, but they clumped together at random, seemingly with minds of their own. Then I looked up, and saw written on the cereal box, a note that mentioned that Cheerios clump in groups in the bowl. Who knew? I just kept playing with them till they grouped themselves into a design that I liked.
