Several years ago I did a project in which I made at least one motion pan photograph per week, for a year. I love doing this technique, and when I was on the street in Europe on a rainy day, it seemed to be the perfect approach for photographing people walking in the downpour. The slight movement of the camera blended and softened the bright colours against the background of old stone buildings and cobblestone streets. I enjoy the watercolour-like impressionistic rendition of the rainy day.
