AD1075

I found this area of peeling paint, rust and pattern on the side of an old railway car. Even though these marks were made purely by chance, with no intention of creating anything artistic, I found the configuration to be reminiscent of some kind of Asian brushstroke, and I especially liked the way the paint seemed to be rubbed into the scratched metal and around the rivets, resulting in very subtle surface texture. Coverting it to black and white enhanced the whole design. I love finding and photographing unintentional abstract artworks.
