There were nice bands of light on the underside of the upper deck of my boathouse at the cottage. However, there wasn't enough interest in that alone, so I positioned myself to be able to include part of a tree on a small island offshore, at the bottom of the frame. The frame is divided obliquely, from corner to corner. The juxtaposition of the dark, solid deck with straight light toned lines, with the the blue sky and the wispy organic shapes of the clouds and tree, provides much more interest. Please click
