I took my husband for a medical procedure and because of Covid, was not allowed to enter the hospital. Instead of waiting in the car for five hours, I took my camera to shoot the streets around the hospital. The hospital was in a very seedy downtown area which no one would consider photogenic. Making ME images was the perfect approach. On a side street there was an exit from a parking garage, and right at the exit was a very grubby metal mirror for drivers to see pedestrians and traffic before driving onto the sidewalk and road. The painted pavement lines were reflected in the mirror and provided some structure within the photograph. I love the abstract quality of this image and the fact that I was able to make it in such an unlikely place and of such an unlikely subject.
