week 14

This image was constructed entirely from a single photograph, a detail of bark from a palm tree. The facade of the little house (minus the door and window, of course) is an smaller, but otherwise unaltered copy of the photograph, which I pasted onto a much lighter, differently coloured version of the original. Every other element...the tree, chimney and smoke, door, window and curtains, sun, doorknob, flowers and leaves etc, are all copies of the original photograph which I modified in colour, size and shape to form the various components. Nothing was computer generated.
This is not a great work of art...but it was fun to make and a wonderful exercise in using my imagination and computer skills.
