It is impossible to predict what an in-camera multiple exposure will look like. That's what is so exciting. I did several "multis" on the same subject within a minute or two. Nothing changed; my settings were identical, the light was the same, my position and view point remained the same. The only variation was the way that I moved the camera. I was very pleased with these two versions of the same subject, and was fascinated how different they appear. One even has some blue...I don't know where that came from. I decided to present both together as a diptych.
