week 5

When I began to make this composite, I knew I wanted the final result to be an abstract image of lines, colourful shapes and textures, but beyond that, had no idea about how it would look in the end. I went through my photography files, selecting an eclectic group of thirty images that had these elements, and began to experiment by combining them in various ways. The image slowly evolved as I evaluated the results as I worked, keeping what I liked, discarding what I didn't, and building layer upon layer until I was happy with the result. All or part of about twenty of the thirty photographs were used to make this image.
