I found the shapes of the shadows of the solitary chair, and chair and glass table interesting, but neither image had sufficient compositional strength to display well independently. Hoping that grouping them together as a diptych would improve things, I experimented with various configurations and compositons. It wasn't until I rotated the solitary chair shadow into a vertical orientation that things fell into place. This presentation, with the two displayed as a unit, creates a much better balance of shape and line, positive and negative space, and has greater fluidity of movement overall.
