week 27

WEEK 27, Home, Ontario
I've been running to the window every morning, hoping to see snow because I leave for Arizona next week, and probably will be back home too late in the season to photograph it. Tuesday morning I found this totally unexpected gift, but I had to leave early because I had several appointments downtown. I was so disappointed (an understatement!) because I sure it would be melted by time I'd get home; this type of snow usually melts off trees very quickly. When I returned home later in the afternoon I was thrilled and surprised to see that the snow was still there. I grabbed my camera gear and photographed these snowy trees about a mile from my house. The next morning, the snow was still there and stayed throughout the day, allowing me to squeeze in a winter's worth of photography in just two days. More images from this shoot can be found in the Seasons Gallery
