For the next 4 weeks our theme will be water. Water is clear and colourless. Large bodies of water generally appear some variation of blue because of the reflected sky. However water can display reflections of every shape and colour and its surface changes from moment to moment. At the lake, at my cottage, the water appeared pale grey because the sky was overcast, and in the constantly moving surface, reflections from something on the dock created dynamic lines and shapes which constantly evolved.
