For the next 4 weeks, our theme will be patterns or repetitions. I was in France last week and in the Paris airport, there was a very dramatic glass curved ceiling in the departure gate area of the terminal. The metal framework supporting the panes of glass was regularly spaced, but from my viewpoint, looking up at the ceiling and towards the end of the enormous space, the lines seem to converge in the distance. The pattern was intricate yet simple, and the fact that the colour of the shy and light was different on each side of the apex of the ceiling, prevented the pattern from appearing static.
