Theme 4 week4 : SELECTIVE FOCUS

Although it is quite common to see selective focus photographs made with forground elements sharp and the background blurry, it is possible to focus anywhere in the frame. This is a photograph of a blow up bed mattress. I used a large aperature and focussed a distance away from the lens, on about the third row of bumps from the top of the frame. Everything closest to the lens is soft and out of focus, and things get progressivley more defined as you get further away from the camera. Please click here to see Simone's image.
