I began with a single image of a sand dune, made multiple copies of it and then digitally stitched them together onto a new canvas. A few creative tweaks gave the final result more movement. This is one of those images that plays with foreground/background perception. Sometimes the pale cream forms seem to come forward while the darker taupe forms recede, and other times the opposite seems true. I didn't plan this phenomenon; I noticed it after the compositie was made.
