Although all my photographs are made in colour, I convert many of them to black and white as well, just to see how they look that way. Most of the time I have a preference for one or the other, but often I am happy with both versions. That was the case here; I like the vivid red, blue and green of the colour version, but also like the tonal contrasts and increased graphic nature of the monochrome. By digitally stitching them together, I was able to display both at the same time, and the bonus was a much more interesting, quirky composition.
