week 37

WEEK 37: Sun Lakes, Arizona
Along with wind and cooler temperatures, a weather front this week brought an extensive area of cloud to the area. While looking at the sky from my driveway, I found the configurations of the dark clouds to be fascinating because they were arranged in rows of regularly spaced lumps. I ran for my camera and as I began to photograph this phenomenon, was struck at the way the cloud formations echoed the wavy roofline of our tiled roof. I recomposed to include a small section of the roof at the bottom of the frame. Within an hour all the clouds had vanished, leaving the more usual bright blue Arizona sky.
