week 13

WEEK 13: HOME, ONTARIO
We're back home after the summer, and this week I walked around the area where I live looking for things to photograph for this project. This is a new subdivision and many homes are still under construction. These bricks were stacked on a pallet by the curb around the corner, waiting to be installed on a house. I liked the patterns created by the ends of the bricks, and the subtle variations in shape, tone and colour. Although I made many compositions (much to the puzzlement of the construction workers), I chose this one for this week's image because I liked the inclusion of the two slightly different sized gaps.
