week 11

WEEK 11: COTTAGE, MUSKOKA, ONTARIO
Three of our white plastic suncots, without cushions, were lined up against the boathouse on the dock. I liked the various assortment of lines that they made, especially since the middle cot was different. What I didn't like was the fact the the horizontal lines from the cedar siding on the boathouse competed with the patterns of the cots. I made the photograph anyway, hoping that in Photoshop I'd be able to find a way to fix the problem, while still preserving the identity of the subject and the lines that attracted me in the first place. After some experimenting, I found a solution, and feel that the stark black and white treatment enhances the graphic design.
