PROJECT: KICK IN THE ASS

When I first began making photographs, my main interest was finding things to shoot wherever I happened to be. I loved the discovery of "seeing" things that might normally go unnoticed, and then arranging the elements within the frame. Lately, however, any photographs I make are usually multiple exposures which are then digitally combined with other images in photoshop to create digital collages. I love making these kinds of images, but I have begun to miss the visual discovery aspect of photography. So, I decided to assign myself a project to kick myself in the ass and start to do that again. To make things easy I decided to do all of this with my iPhone. It is always with me and I really enjoy shooting with it. Because this project will be all about "seeing" and visual discovery there will be minimal post processing...nothing that will take longer than a minute, and no outside elements will be added. The basic composition will remain the same. Meanwhile I will continue to work on my usual art made with my big girl camera and computer. and post them in the appropriate portfolios in the Visual Expressions gallery. I intend to make and post at least one image a week, and more if I do them.
